DENVER (AP) — The Washington Nationals have designated outfielder Willy Taveras for assignment and reinstated outfielder Mike Morse from the disabled list.

The moves were announced before Sunday’s game at the Rockies.

Taveras hit .200 in 27 games with the Nationals this season. He has four RBIs and one stolen base.

Morse has missed 32 games with a left calf injury. He had been on rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse, where he hit .265 with three homers in 14 games.
