NEW YORK (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has thrown some passes while participating in drills on a limited basis during the first day of organized team activities.

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie tells The Associated Press on Monday that Sanchez “looked good” while throwing in the team’s first on-field session of the offseason. Sanchez is recovering from knee surgery in February to stabilize the patella ligament in his left knee.

The Jets confirm that Sanchez threw some passes in 7-on-7 drills and participated in individual drills, but was not part of team drills.

Sanchez has recently begun to run on grass. He has said he hoped to return in time to fully participate by minicamp in June, but would be 100 percent by training camp.
