Cascade Middle School will host a free, hands-on science show Thursday and Friday.

From 4 to 8 p.m. each day, Seattle’s Pacific Science Center staff will give two live science shows, field questions and oversee more than 50 hands-on exhibits. The show is part of the traveling Science on Wheels program operated by the center to widen public science participation and funded in part by the state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Exhibits include: “Blood and Guts,” in which participants assemble skeletons and analyze X-rays and skulls; “Super Cool Science,” where guests explore the three states of matter (solid, liquid, gas) with interactive experiments; and “Radical Reactions,” in which chemical reactions create heat, light, gas and color changes.

Cascade Middle School is at 13900 N.E. 18th St., Vancouver.
