SAN DIEGO (AP) — San Diego Padres reliever Joe Thatcher has left a game against the San Francisco Giants in the 12th inning with an injury.

Thatcher, who entered in the 11th on Tuesday night, retired Aubrey Huff on a flyout to start the 12th. Padres catcher Nick Hundley went to the mound and trainer Todd Hutcheson and manager Bud Black followed.

Thatcher was holding his left side before being replaced by Cesar Ramos.
