Vancouver’s Piano Hospital has received a $13,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington.

The vocational school, known more formally as the School of Piano Technology for the Blind, will use the money to buy tool kits that will be issued to students when they graduate.

The Piano Hospital, 2510 E. Evergreen Blvd., has received more than $50,000 in grants from the Community Foundation over the years.

The school has attracted students from 36 states and 14 foreign countries to Vancouver.

The Community Foundation has distributed more than $87 million throughout the region since 1984.
