Volcanoes rout Hotshots

Devin Uskoski led a balanced attack with 16 points as the Vancouver Volcanoes rolled to a 113-85 victory over the Central Oregon Hotshots on Friday at Clark College.

Damon King and Bryson McKenzie each scored 15 points, McKenzie adding a team-high nine rebounds. Kevin Bloodsaw and Alex Hartman chipped in 13 points apiece, and Porter Troupe added 10.

Chris Session led the Hotshots with 18 points, while Hassan Stewart had 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Vancouver (7-4) has won seven of its past eight games.

“Our record since the first losses is great,” Volcanoes coach Bryan Hunter said. “We’re strong on defense and executing well on offense. We have a championship team here; we’re definitely playing at [that] caliber.”

Vancover plays at Tacoma today.
