CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Corvallis police are warning residents about a door-to-door sales crew that works for a company that ran afoul of authorities in 2008.

The department learned that T&B Sales Inc. is in the area. The company sells a cleaning product called “Advantage” or “Advantage Wonder Cleaner.”

Lt. Dave Henslee says calls have already come from residents complaining about pushy sales tactics.

The Department of Justice investigated the same company two years, following complaints aggressive sales practices, fraud, theft and illegal drug activity from Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties.

T&B salespeople were arrested on allegations of forging stolen checks, using false names at a hospital and selling marijuana to an undercover police officer.

The company agreed to comply with Oregon’s Unlawful Trade Practices Act and paid a $2,500 fine.
