CLATSKANIE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon Attorney General John Kroger says a former Clatskanie police officer has been sentenced to 180 days in jail for stealing prescription drugs from Clatskanie homes.

Kroger said Wednesday that 35-year-old Joseph Lee Harrison pleaded guilty in Columbia County Circuit Court to two counts of burglary and one count of official misconduct.

Harrison was arrested last summer, accused of illegally entering three homes to steal Vicodin and OxyContin. The attorney general says in the first instance, Harrison was on duty and in uniform when he got the keys to an apartment from the owner. In later incidents, he illegally entered unoccupied residences.
