SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say the deaths of a man and woman Thursday night in the Ballard neighborhood appear to be a murder-suicide.
Police say the 74-year-old man fatally beat the woman with a hammer and then jumped to his death from a sixth-floor apartment window.
Fire Department medics took the woman to Harborview Medical Center where she died.
