CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds placed catcher Ryan Hanigan on the disabled list with a fractured left thumb and reinstated infielder Paul Janish from the bereavement list on Saturday.

The Reds also purchased the contract of catcher Corky Miller from Triple-A Louisville and optioned infielder Drew Sutton to the Bats. To make room on the 40-man roster for Miller, Chris Dickerson was transferred from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day list.
