SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say the driver of a pickup that collided with five pedestrians in the city’s Sodo district had a blood-alcohol level nearly four times the legal intoxication threshold.

The pedestrians had just left a nightclub when they were hit last Thursday night.

Arrested for investigation of vehicular assault was 43-year-old Juanita Wright of West Seattle. Police say her blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.30 percent. Washington’s legal intoxication threshold is 0.08 percent. Wright told police the pedestrians crossed in front of her truck.

Four were hospitalized after the crash. The Seattle Times reports that two remained in serious condition Monday at Harborview Medical Center. Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says a third was in satisfactory condition. A fourth person has been released.
