COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) — Skeletal remains found in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area have been recovered after a dog led a couple to them during a walk.
The World newspaper in Coos Bay reported the Coos County sheriff’s office was investigating the remains discovered last Friday night near Horsfall Beach on the Oregon coast.
Deputies said the remains appeared to be several years old.
The remains were being examined at a lab in hopes of identifying them.
