PARIS (AP) — Motor racing’s international governing body has confirmed next year’s Formula One calendar, with the new Indian Grand Prix set for October.
The FIA confirmed the calendar after a World Motor Sport Council meeting Wednesday.
Grand Prix races in India and China remain subject to approval of the circuits, but F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone was impressed when he recently visited the Indian circuit on the outskirts of New Delhi.
The 2011 F1 season begins in Bahrain, followed by races in Australia and Malaysia.
