Jets’ Sanchez critical of play, ready to rebound

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Mark Sanchez was hard on himself after the New York Jets’ loss to the Green Bay Packers, saying his poor play was a major reason they failed to score.

While there was plenty of blame to go around in the 9-0 loss, the Jets quarterback says Wednesday he was way too inaccurate on several of his throws and made the wrong decisions on when he should have run with the ball instead of throwing it.

After a sizzling start, Sanchez has one touchdown and four interceptions in his last two games.

He expects to be a lot better — along with the rest of the offense — on Sunday at Detroit when he faces Matthew Stafford, whom the Lions picked No. 1 overall last year, four spots ahead of where the Jets took Sanchez.
