TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A suspected robber was shot and killed in a home invasion near Puyallup.
Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune deputies are looking for a second suspect who drove off.
Troyer says the two men forced their way into the home about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, woke up a couple and demanded to know the location of a safe and jewelry.
Troyer says the intruders were pistol-whipping the man when his girlfriend reached under the bed and handed her boyfriend a shotgun. He fatally wounded the suspect. He was found dead in the driveway with a handgun and jewelry.
