TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Pierce County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a man suspected of using a dumbbell to kill a woman in Roy.
Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune of Tacoma the man called 911 about 2 a.m. Wednesday and said he had killed an attacker inside a home.
Troyer says investigators believe the woman had been killed sometime earlier and may have been run over by a van.
Troyer says the 60-year-old woman owned the home and the 32-year-old man lived there. He’s jailed in Tacoma for investigation of murder.
