CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Derek Carr threw for 346 yards and two touchdowns to lead Tennessee-Martin to a 28-12 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday.

The Governors (2-7, 1-5 Ohio Valley Conference), who lost their sixth straight, led 6-0 late in the first quarter on Jake Ryan’s 5-yard pass to Robert Lemon.

The Skyhawks (5-5, 4-3) pulled ahead 2:28 later on a 1-yard TD run by Kenny Jones that was set up by a 53-yard pass from Carr to Daniel Chamberlain.

After Carr, who was 18 for 28, threw an 18-yard TD pass to Chamberlain, Austin Peay answered with a 95-yard kickoff return by Terrence Holt. The two-point conversion failed.

Carr connected with Corey Jordan on a 34-yard touchdown to lead 21-12 at halftime.

Chamberlain, who caught six passes for 125 yards, also had a 22-yard TD reception from Jason McNair on a halfback option play with 14:35 remaining to seal the win.
