BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Kurt Odom and Daniel Polk each ran for three touchdowns Saturday and Campbell romped to a 56-14 Pioneer Football League victory over Valparaiso.

Polk also passed for a touchdown as the Camels (3-6, 2-4) snapped a three-game losing streak, sending Valparaiso (0-10, 0-7) to its 19th consecutive defeat. After a scoreless first quarter, the Camels broke through with 35 points in the second.

Polk scored on a 3-yard run and only 58 seconds later, following a Valparaiso fumble, Odom scored on a 5-yard run. Odom also had touchdown runs of 9 and 50 yards, while Polk added two more 3-yard touchdown runs and a 16-yard scoring pass to Mike Stryffeler.

The Crusaders moved the ball, as evidenced by Eric Lemon’s 237 yards passing — 120 of which went to Kevin Becker, who had 11 catches. But they didn’t avoid the shutout until 1:14 remained in the third, on Lemon’s 16-yard pass to Becker.
