BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — Bellingham and Western Washington University police are working together to chase down a team of armed robbers near campus on Monday.
The Bellingham Herald reports a man who slightly injured Monday afternoon during a run-in with the robbers. A woman says she was robbed at gunpoint earlier in the day nearby.
Sgt. David Richards says that police can’t say for sure the incidents are related, but investigators say the descriptions are very similar.
Assisting with the search is a Department of Homeland Security helicopter and a county K-9 unit.
