Rear-end collision sends one to hospital

A Carson woman was cited for following too closely after her vehicle slammed into the back of a Nissan Sentra this morning on state Highway 14, near milepost 15.

Patricia A. Rydl, 57, was traveling westbound at about 7:40 a.m. when she struck the Nissan stopped in halted traffic, according to a bulletin issued by the Washington State Patrol.

Judy A. Morris, 69, of Washougal was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center with neck pains. Her 1996 Nissan suffered damage to its right rear-end.

Rydl’s 2002 Saturn sustained front-end damage.
