STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Maya Moore enters her senior season at Connecticut with a chance of becoming the program’s all-time leader in scoring and rebounding.

The senior needs just 178 points to reach the scoring mark, and is 404 rebounds away from the rebounding milestone. She also has a chance to help UConn break the UCLA men’s record of 88 consecutive wins. The Huskies need ten more to tie that mark.

But Moore said her only goal is to help a team that includes five freshman become good enough to compete for a third consecutive national title.

The Huskies have one more exhibition game on Wednesday, before opening the season on Nov. 14 against Holy Cross. Their biggest test comes early, with a game against No. 2 Baylor on the 16th.
