RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Freshmen Ryan Harrow, Lorenzo Brown and C.J. Leslie each scored 17 points to help North Carolina State beat Pfeiffer 111-73 in an exhibition game Tuesday night.

Senior Tracy Smith also had 17 for the Wolfpack, who scored 100 points under fifth-year coach Sidney Lowe for the first time in any game. N.C. State ran out to a 24-5 lead on the way to shooting 56 percent in its only tuneup before Friday’s opener against Tennessee Tech.

Scott Wood added 14 points and four 3-pointers for the Wolfpack.

N.C. State had scored at least 90 points four times in 140 exhibition, regular-season and postseason games under Lowe, but he had said this team would run more with the arrival of its touted freshmen. N.C. State certainly played faster Tuesday, routinely getting out in transition and finishing with 21 fastbreak points.

Chris Woods scored 23 for Pfeiffer.
