Truck driver killed in crash near Mattawa

MATTAWA, Wash. (AP) — A truck driver was killed when it left Highway 243 about four miles north of Mattawa, rolled down an embankment and came to rest on its top, submerged in the Columbia River.

The Washington State Patrol says 45-year-old Albert D. Gumm of Nampa, Idaho, died Monday night at the scene in Grant County in Eastern Washington.
