Michigan St announces 4 basketball signings

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State says it has signed four basketball players to letters of intent.

Coach Tom Izzo says guard Dwaun Anderson, forward Branden Dawson, forward Brandan Kearney and guard Travis Trice have signed on to play with the No. 2 Spartans.

Anderson is from Suttons Bay and Kearney is from Detroit. Dawson is from Gary, Ind., and Trice is from Huber Heights, Ohio.

Dawson averaged 23.1 points and 14.7 rebounds per game as a junior, shooting 62 percent from the field. Anderson averaged 20 points and led Suttons Bay High School to a 25-2 mark and spot in the Class C state title game.
