WASHINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana high school basketball standout Cody Zeller says he’ll play at Indiana, marking a big recruiting victory for the Hoosiers and coach Tom Crean.

The 6-10 senior at southern Indiana’s Washington High School had narrowed his choices to Indiana, Butler and North Carolina. He announced his decision Thursday at his high school gym.

Zeller is ranked among the top 20 players in the nation. Like his two older brothers, he won a state championship with the Washington High School Hatchets.

Indiana tried to recruit Zeller’s older brothers, but lost out. Luke Zeller played at Notre Dame, and Tyler Zeller plays at North Carolina.
