MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Following a tip that a large shipment of marijuana was headed for Salem, police found marijuana wrapped for distribution and arrested a Medford man and a Central Point couple on drug charges.

The Mail Tribune reports that police found 40 pounds of marijuana, seven firearms and a gallon of hash oil during raids of a motel room and a Medford house this week.

Police have charged 28-year-old Joe T. Sells, 29-year-old Johnny Kenneth and his 25-year-old wife, Christiana K. Kenneth.

All three face charges of possession and delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

The Kenneths’ Medford home is a registered medical marijuana growing site, and all three are registered in the state’s medical marijuana program.
