King’s Way Christian takes seventh at 1B volleyball

King’s Way Christian placed seventh at state for its first-ever state trophy in any sport.

King’s Way defeated Trout Lake in three games, and then lost to Moses Lake Christian Academy in four games in the fourth-place match in Yakima.

Against Trout Lake, McKenzie Davis and Erin Sprowls each had eight kills. Sarah Landstrom had 38 digs, and Sophie Kuehl had 32 digs. Tiffany Hansen had 17 assists.

King’s Way won the first game from Moses Lake Christian 25-18, but then fell as Moses Lake won the next three 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Sprowls had 11 kills in the match. Davis had 14 assists, and Hansen had 10. Kuehl had 29 digs and Landstrom 28.

Seton Catholic had its trip to the 1B state tournament end with a 25-14, 25-19, 25-23 loss to Moses Lake Christian.
