NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stock futures are pointing to a slightly higher open as investors hope to move beyond worries about Ireland’s debt drama that dragged major indexes down last week.

The euro fell again against the dollar as European news reports said Ireland was in talks with other European countries about its debt situation.

In corporate news, home improvement retailer Lowe’s Companies Inc. and Urban Outfitters Inc. are reporting earnings Monday.

Dow futures rose 25, or 0.2 percent, to 11,177 while Standard & Poor’s 500 futures were up 3.80, or 0.3 percent, to 1,199.20. The S&P index fell 2.2 percent last week, its biggest weekly drop in three months.
