HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) — A 6-year-old child was hit by a car Tuesday morning outside Central Elementary School in Hoquiam.
Police say the child suffered cuts on the head and a possible broken leg.
KBKW reports the Hoquiam fire department ambulance was taking the child to Grays Harbor Community Hospital when the ambulance was hit by a car making a turn.
The child was transferred to a different aid car for the rest of the ride to the hospital in Aberdeen.
