EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — At one Everett espresso stand baristas are armed with a Taser and spray to protect themselves from robbers.
Police believe one man is responsible for 15 holdups at espresso stands a convenience stores in Everett in the past four months.
“Espresso Avenue” manager Lindsay Stimson tells KING-TV the business is training its baristas to use the Taser and spray in self defense. The stand was hit Oct. 12 by a robber who got away with cash.
