NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kris Richard scored 15 points and came up with five steals to help spark Tulane to a 77-36 victory over Centenary on Friday night.

Kendall Timmons added 12 points and four steals for the Green Wave (2-1), who took advantage of 24 turnovers by the Gentlemen (0-4) — 13 of them in the first half — while committing just eight of their own. Timmons also grabbed 13 rebounds.

Jordan Callahan scored 12 points for Tulane and Geoff Hogan contributed 10 points off the bench.

Tulane led 22-12 with 8:26 to go in the first half before going on an 11-0 run, started by a layup by Hogan, then a steal by Hogan that led to two free throws by Callahan.

Centenary got no closer than 14 points in the second half.

Maxx Nakwaasah scored 12 points and was the only player in double figures for Centenary. Jeron Trotman added nine points and seven rebounds for the Gentlemen.
