Foster, Santa Clara defeat Bethune-Cookman 75-61

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Kevin Foster hit a career-high six 3-pointers and scored 21 points and three other Santa Clara players finished in double figures as the Broncos defeated Bethune-Cookman 75-61 in the Las Vegas Invitational on Sunday night.

Evan Roquemore and Marc Trasolini added 13 points each and Ben Dowdell had 10 for the Broncos (3-1).

C. J. Reed led the Wildcats (2-1) with 29 points, and Dion Holloman scored 11.

Santa Clara trailed 29-27 at halftime before pulling away with a 25-10 run for a 65-52 lead with 2:46 to play.

The Broncos made 15 of 19 shots in the second half and shot 56.8 percent overall, including 9 of 18 from 3-point range.

Santa Clara outrebounded Bethune-Cookman 31-22.
