North Carolina A&T beats UNC Wilmington 84-79, OT

GREENSBORO, N.C (AP) — Thomas Coleman scored 18 points, Nic Simpson had 15, Adrian Powell 14 and Marc Hill 13 as North Carolina A&T beat North Carolina Wilmington 84-79 in overtime on Tuesday night.

The Aggies (2-3) led 69-66 with 45 seconds left to play in regulation when Chad Tomko nailed the game-tying 3-pointer. Both teams went scoreless until overtime began.

A 3-pointer from Austin Witter with 1:16 left in overtime gave North Carolina A&T an 80-77 lead. Coleman added a dunk and two free throws as the Aggies held on for the win.

The Seahawks (2-3) trailed by as many as 11, 50-39, with 10:58 remaining in regulation, but Ahmad Grant scored 11 of his game-high 30 points in the second half to spark UNC Wilmington. The Seahawks led 66-65 with 1:42 left in the second half.

Coleman had 4 points and a crucial block in the final 1:26 to help the Aggies tie the score, 69-69.
