BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — Puget Sound Energy says it’s doing all it can to restore electricity to customers who lost power in the Monday night storm, but some could still be in the cold and dark on Thanksgiving.

Spokesman Roger Thompson told KIRO-TV an outage of 90,000 PSE customers had been reduced to 58,000 by Tuesday afternoon with most of those on the west side of Puget Sound where there’s extensive damage from falling tree limbs. Icy roads aren’t helping.

The Bellevue-based utility has called in outside repair crews to help. Thompson says power should be restored to the majority of affected customers by Tuesday night, but outages will linger into Wednesday with the possibility some spots will still be without service on Thursday.
