James Madison beats Bucknell 85-75 behind 10 3s

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Andrey Semenov scored 20 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers, as James Madison defeated Bucknell 85-75 on Wednesday night.

Semenov, who had 16 points in the second half, was 5 of 6 from long range to lead the Dukes (4-1) behind the arc. James Madison was 10 of 19 from 3-point range (52.6 percent), overcoming a solid shooting night by the Bison (2-5) in the O’Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic.

Bucknell shot 53.1 percent from the field (26 of 49) but made only seven 3s and had 14 turnovers, compared to 10 by the Dukes.

Rayshawn Goins scored 21 points, Devon Moore 14, Humpty Hitchens 12 and Denzel Bowers 11 for James Madison. Julius Wells, who scored seven points for the Dukes, surpassed 1,000 points in his career.

James Madison has won four straight.

Mike Muscala led Bucknell with 21 points and Bryson Johnson added 18.
