FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Northern Arizona authorities say a man reported missing from Oregon has been found dead near the Grand Canyon.

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old Gary Shannon Krumholz was reported missing Oct. 28.

Krumholz’s family members believed he was headed to the Grand Canyon and the Washington County, Ore., Sheriff’s Office sent an attempt to locate to the National Park Service.

On Nov. 19, Park Service employees at the Grand Canyon received a call after a body was discovered in a tent off Highway 64 along the East Rim.

The Sheriff’s Office says there were no signs of foul play and the medical examiner is looking for a cause of death.
