Tuskegee beats Alabama State in Turkey Day Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Joshua Harris threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Stephen Clements in the fourth quarter to help Tuskegee beat Alabama State 17-10 on Thursday in the Turkey Day Classic.

Division II Tuskegee (9-2) leads the Turkey Day Classic series 48-31-3 and the overall series 60-33-4. Tuskegee has won 12 of the last 15 games between the schools.

Alabama State (7-4) will face Texas Southern on Dec. 11 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference title game in Birmingham. The Hornets won the Eastern Division in the Football Championship Subdivision conference.

Harris was 11 of 22 for 196 yards for Tuskegee, and Antoine Mitchell caught a 60-yard pass to set up Clements’ touchdown and finished with three receptions for 110 yards.
