The Clark County board of commissioners has selected Rebecca Blaisdell to serve as a Clark County representative on the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District board of trustees.

The appointment must be approved by county commissioners in Skamania and Klickitat counties.

Blaisdell is vice chairwoman of the FVRL Foundation, and an 11-year county resident. She is vice president of Management Group, a property management firm, and is a licensed real estate associate broker.

A Sifton area resident, she is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Clark County.

If approved, Blaisdell will serve as the county’s Position 1 representative starting in January, for a seven-year term.

She would succeed Karen Peterson. The position is designated for someone living in Clark County, outside the city of Vancouver.

Library trustees oversee all 13 FVRL branches, three bookmobiles and related services for Southwest Washington residents, extending from Woodland to Goldendale.
