CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a fire has been reported at an Islamic center near Oregon State University in Corvallis. No injuries have been reported.

Authorities in Corvallis told The Oregonian they are investigating the fire at the Salman Alfarisi Islamic Center, and they have not said how it started.

It was reported at 2:15 a.m. Sunday. Authorities say it was contained to one room.

The fire erupted two days after a Somali-born teenager and former OSU student was arrested and charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Federal authorities say 19-year-old Mohamed Osman Mohamud tried blowing up a van on Friday that he believed was loaded with explosives at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland.

The bomb was a fake supplied by undercover agents who had been communicating with Mohamud.
