FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The long weekend is over for the New England Patriots.

Let the hype begin.

The Patriots are preparing to host the New York Jets next Monday night in a game that will put the winner in control of the AFC East.

New England coach Bill Belichick said in a conference call Monday that he expects the Jets to have plenty of new wrinkles for the Patriots by gametime.

The Jets won the first meeting against the Patriots, but both teams are 9-2 with five games left to play. The Jets currently hold the tiebreaker in the AFC playoff race, but the Patriots can take it right back with a win over their rivals at home.

Both teams have had a bit of a break since playing on Thanksgiving, plus a bonus day thanks to the Monday night scheduling.
