KODIAK, Alaska (AP) — A Coast Guard helicopter has made an emergency landing on the back deck of the Coast Guard icebreaker Healy.

KMXT reports the MH-60 Jayhawk made the landing Thursday night as both the helicopter and the icebreaker were performing maneuvers near Kodiak.

There were no injuries to the four-person Jayhawk crew or to anyone aboard the cutter.

Coast Guard Petty Officer David Mosley says an unspecified equipment issues prompted the emergency landing.

The Seattle-based Healy is returning south after an Arctic patrol. It docked in Kodiak Friday morning, and Mosley says plans are under way to move the helicopter off the deck and truck it to the base for examination.
