FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Dustin Keller is off to an outstanding start for the New York Jets, quickly becoming Mark Sanchez’s favorite target.

The speedy and sure-handed tight end has 13 catches for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the Jets’ last two games. Keller said Friday that it’s the result of rapidly progressing chemistry between him and his second-year quarterback.

As a rookie in 2008, Keller had Brett Favre throwing passes to him. It appeared the tight end’s career was going to take off — especially after the veteran quarterback said he was going to be a special player.

After Favre left, Keller needed to start over with his new quarterback. Things began to really click in the postseason, and it has carried over this season.
