Montana State beats Sacramento State 64-61 in OT

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Julius Lloyd caught eight passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns, the last one forcing overtime, as Montana State earned a wild 64-61 victory at Sacramento State on Saturday.

Jason Cunningham made a 25-yard field goal in overtime for the Bobcats (4-1, 2-0 Big Sky). Sacramento State (3-2, 2-1) failed to score in the extra session when Chris Diniz missed wide left from 43 yards out.

The lead changed hands four times in the fourth quarter before Lloyd caught an 8-yard scoring pass from Denarius McGhee with 1:17 remaining. McGhee was 26 of 43 for 385 yards and four TDs.

Jeff Fleming threw for 348 yards and five scores and Bryan Hilliard rushed for 194 yards and two TDs for the Hornets, who trailed 37-10 at halftime but scored touchdowns on each of their five third-quarter possessions to take a 45-44 edge.

C.J. Palmer rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns for Montana State.
