The AARP is seeking volunteers to join its Tax-Aide program to help people in Clark County prepare their taxes.

Volunteers will receive free tax training in January, then from Feb. 1 through April 15, they will help people at sites across the county.

Computer skills are required as all tax returns will be filed electronically. You don’t have to be an AARP member or retiree to volunteer. Volunteers who are fluent in English and Spanish are needed, as well. The deadline to apply is Nov. 10.

AARP also is recruiting for “client facilitators” who staff the front desks at tax sites to meet and greet customers and to perform initial screenings. For more information, contact AARP, 888-687-2277 or www.aarp.org/taxaide.
