3A GSHL football: Camas 66, Hudson’s Bay 14

Addison Owen scored three touchdowns — via a TD reception, interception return and a punt return — as the Papermakers scored the final 58 points of the game.

Hudson’s Bay led 14-8 after one quarter on an 71-yard interception return by Devantae Elliott and a 10-yard touchdown catch from Emilio Alcantar from Travis Roberts.

But Zack Marshall scored his second TD run early in the second quarter to put Camas back up 15-14. Then Owen returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown. Logan Grindy threw TD passes for Brent Hill and Marshall and the rout was on.

Owen had an 8-yard TD reception early in the third quarter. Then followed that up with a 42-yard interception return for a score.

Marshall rushed for 98 yards on 13 carries, and Grindy completed 15 of 18 passes for 271 yards.

Ikaika Gunderson had interception and several tackles to lead the Camas defense.

“We played well defensively after giving up that touchdown in the first quarter,” Camas coach Jon Eagle said.
