Reilly, McCoy lead Marist past Valparaiso 51-7

VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) — Tommy Reilly passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns and Marist blew past Valparaiso 51-7 Saturday.

Calvin McCoy ran for two touchdowns and finished with 95 rushing yards for the Red Foxes (2-3, 1-2, Pioneer League).

Valparaiso’s (0-6, 0-3) only touchdown came with 50 seconds left in the first half on a 13-yard pass from Nate Goergen, who finished with 205 passing yards.

The Red Foxes answered that score with Reilly’s first TD pass with 17 seconds left in the half.

Marist’s Atiq Lucas scored on a 66-yard run, and finished with 113 rushing yards.

Matt Gray and Ryan Dinnebeil each ran for a touchdown, and Jason Myers kicked a field goal.

The Red Foxes finished with 550 total offense yards to the Crusaders’ 358 yards.
