Stephen F. Austin beats McNeese State 32-27

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Jeremy Moses completed a 15-yard touchdown pass to Cordell Roberson with 55 seconds remaining to give Stephen F. Austin a 32-27 victory over McNeese State in Southland Conference play on Saturday night.

The Lumberjacks (4-1, 1-0) trailed 26-20 before a 27-yard touchdown pass from Cody Stroud to Wes Briscoe put the Cowboys (2-3, 1-1) ahead 27-26 with 5:10 left on the clock.

A 46-yard field goal attempt from Stephen F. Austin kicker Logan Barrett was blocked and the Cowboys regained possession at the Lumberjacks’ 41-yard line, clinging to the one-point lead.

McNeese State was forced to punt after a three-and-out with 2:12 remaining. Graly Crawford returned the kick to the Stephen F. Austin 17-yard line.

The Lumberjacks marched 83 yards in 1:17 to score the game-winning touchdown.

Moses threw for 339 yards and four touchdowns in the win.
