INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Sister Dawn took the lead early and hung on for a one-length victory in the $44,800 feature at the Oak Tree meeting at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Sister Dawn covered six furlongs on the turf in 1:08.56 and paid $3.80 $2.40 and $2.20 as the betting favorite. Softly Singing returned $4 and $2.80, while Miss Silver Brook paid $3 to show.
Sister Dawn, a 3-year-old filly, won Thursday for the third time in eight starts to boost her career earnings to $114,507.
