Northern Arizona beats Montana State 34-7

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Michael Herrick threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns and Northern Arizona beat Montana State 34-7 Saturday.

The Lumberjacks (4-2, 2-1 Big Sky) scored 28 points while keeping Montana State (5-2, 3-1) scoreless in the first half.

Herrick connected with Daiveun Curry-Chapman for two TD passes.

Curry-Chapman finished with eight catches for 69 yards.

Herrick also threw a TD pass to Austin Shanks, and Zach Bauman ran for a touchdown.

Cody Dowd scored on 28-yard fumble return in fourth quarter.

Montana State’s lone touchdown came on a TD pass from Denarius McGhee to Kyle Begger.

NAU finished with 404 total offense yards to the Bobcats’ 123 yards.
