BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Duncan Koech has led a sweep by Kenyan men at the Bucharest City Marathon.
Koech finished in 2 hours, 13 minutes, 59 seconds Sunday in cool, rainy conditions. James Cheruiyot was second in 2:15:33 and John Maluni Katio placed third in 2:18:42.
Sviatlana Kouhan of Belarus won the women’s race in 2:35:13. Ethiopia’s Gida Bekele was second in 2:39:49 and Russia’s Oksana Kuzmicheva third in 2:46:58.
